Why Cebu
“Cebu is the natural next step for the festival,” festival director Tatum Ancheta said in a press statement, noting the move introduces international bars, media, and hospitality professionals from across Asia to different Philippine destinations. Gab Carlos, co-founder of The Basement Cebu, called the shift a chance to spotlight talent beyond Manila.
Metro Manila remains part of the celebration too, with delegations joining from Davao, La Union, Siargao, and other regions alongside the Cebu-based events.

This year’s Fiesta adds a Bar Congress component — masterclasses, panels, and roundtable discussions for bartenders, bar owners, hospitality professionals, and brand partners. It’s a shift toward industry education alongside the usual guest shifts and tasting events.
